FAQ

Questions? Answered.

Is SOUL Launcher free?

Yes — 100% free, forever. It's the official launcher of the Soul MC community.

Windows says "Unknown publisher". Is it safe?

Yes — 100%. That warning appears for every app that isn't corporate-signed (even big indie games). SOUL.exe comes straight from the Soul MC team and only connects to play.soullmc.info.

Chrome/Edge blocked the download? Click ⋯ → Keep / Keep anyway.
Blue "Windows protected your PC" screen? Click More info → Run anyway.

The day we get a paid code-signing certificate, this warning disappears forever.

Do I need to install Java?

No. The launcher finds a suitable Java on your PC automatically — and can even download one for you. Just press PLAY.

Do I need a paid Minecraft account?

No. You can play with an offline name, or log in with your Microsoft account if you own the game.

Will it make my game faster?

The built-in FPS Boost + Ultra mode applies proven performance flags and can auto-install optimization mods (Sodium, Lithium…). How much faster depends on your PC — but it's the easiest free FPS you'll ever get.
